Common Stove Problems We Fix
Burner won't heat
A burned-out burner coil is usually the culprit on electric ranges. Swap it out and you're back in business in about ten minutes.
Burner heats at only one level
An infinite switch (the internal switch behind your surface burner knob) controls the heat cycling. When it fails, the burner either stays on full blast or won't dial down at all.
Knob spins but does nothing
A cracked or stripped control knob won't engage the stem, so the burner never responds. Replacing the knob takes about two minutes.
Burner wobbles or sparks
A worn burner receptacle creates a loose connection that leads to arcing and uneven heating. A new receptacle snaps the coil in firmly and kills the sparking.
Grease pooling under the burner
A warped or rusted drip pan can't channel spills away from the burner properly. Fresh drip pans are inexpensive and make cleanup a whole lot easier too.
Burner won't turn off or switch between elements
A faulty burner switch on the control panel can lock a burner on or prevent it from switching properly. Replacing it restores normal control over your cooktop.

Do you stock stove parts for Oklahoma City right now, or do I have to order?
We keep a solid inventory on hand for Whirlpool, Frigidaire, GE, Maytag, and Kenmore ranges, so most common parts are available same day. Text us your model number and we'll confirm what's on the shelf before you make the drive.
How do I find my stove's model number?
On most freestanding ranges it's on a label inside the oven door frame or on the back panel. Snap a photo of the full model and serial number — that's all we need to pull the right part.
Is an infinite switch the same as a burner switch?
They're related but not identical. The infinite switch is the internal component that cycles power to regulate heat, while the burner switch is the external selector on some ranges. Bring your model number and we'll sort out exactly which one you need.
Can I replace a burner coil myself, or do I need a technician?
Burner coil replacement is one of the easiest stove repairs you can do — no tools required on most models. The coil simply plugs into the receptacle and lifts out.
