Oven won't heat at all (electric)
A burned-out bake heating element is the most common culprit. It's a direct swap — unplug the range, remove two screws, and the new element slides right in.
Broiler stopped working
The broil element lives at the top of the oven cavity and fails the same way the bake element does. Visible cracks or blistering on the coil are a dead giveaway it needs replacing.
Gas oven won't ignite
A weak or failed oven ignitor is almost always the fix. When the ignitor glows but the burner never lights, the ignitor has lost enough resistance to open the gas valve.
Oven runs too hot or too cold
The oven thermostat — or its sensor probe — controls temperature calibration. A faulty thermostat sends the wrong signal to the heating circuit and throws your cooking off by 25 to 50 degrees.
Oven door won't close properly
Worn or bent door hinges let heat escape and cause uneven baking. Replacing the hinge pair is straightforward and makes a bigger difference than most people expect.
Convection fan not spinning
The convection fan motor sits in the back of the oven cavity. If you're getting heat but no air circulation, a burnt-out fan motor is the likely fix — and we carry them for most major brands.
