When a Whirlpool ice maker just... stops, no cycling, no ice, nothing, the first instinct is to panic and price out a new fridge. Don't do that. Nine times out of ten, the ice maker assembly itself has failed, and it's a straightforward swap. The Whirlpool ice maker assembly W10190960 is the complete module: the motor, the mold, the ejector arm, all of it. When one internal component inside that assembly dies, the whole unit stops cycling, which is why you're getting zero ice production instead of just weird-shaped cubes or slow output.

Before you throw money at parts, do a quick sanity check. Make sure the ice maker's shutoff arm is in the down (ON) position and that the freezer temp is sitting at 0°F or below, the ice maker won't cycle if it's too warm. Also verify the water supply line behind the fridge isn't kinked and the water inlet valve is actually getting water through. The Fix

Unplug the refrigerator. Non-negotiable. Always.
Empty the ice bin and pull it out of the freezer compartment.
Lower the shutoff arm if it's up, then locate the two or three mounting screws holding the ice maker module to the freezer wall, typically Phillips head.
Remove the screws and gently pull the assembly forward. There's a wire harness connector on the back, squeeze the tab and unplug it. Set the old unit aside.
Connect the wire harness to your new W10190960 assembly, it only goes in one way, so you'll feel it click.
Mount the new unit to the freezer wall with the same screws and make sure the fill cup is aligned under the water fill tube coming from the back wall.
Plug the fridge back in, push the ice bin back in, and lower the shutoff arm.
Give it a full 24 hours before you judge it, the first cycle or two might produce odd cubes while the mold gets fully chilled.
